How to make Fluffy and Jellyfish Slime

Spring has sprung, bringing with it warmer weather and plenty of opportunities for outdoor play.

It can be difficult to keep the little ones entertained indoors, which is why Team Mumspo have been busily experimenting in our messy play kitchen. We’ve developed these recipes for fluffy slime and jellyfish slime, two sure-fire winners for small hands and busy brains, which should give Mum a few quiet minutes to pop your feet up with a well-deserved cuppa.

Fluffy Slime
2/3 cup PVC glue
1 teaspoon Baking Soda
1/4 Cup Water
2-3 cups Shaving Cream (The more shaving cream you add, the fluffier it will be!) 1.5 Tablespoons Borax
Food colouring, to your liking.
Add the PVC glue to a large mixing bowl, add water and baking soda and then add the shaving cream.
Add your food colouring and borax. Mix ingredients thoroughly, until you are satisfied with the colour and consistency. You may need to use more borax, depending on how much shaving cream you’ve used.
Knead and enjoy!

Jellyfish Slime
236ml of PVC glue
1/2 teaspoon of Borax
Food colouring optional

Empty glue into a large mixing bowl.
Fill the glue bottle with warm water, add the water to the glue and stir.
Add food colouring to achieve your preferred level of colour.
Using a second bowl, add 1/2 cup warm water and add a teaspoon of Borax. Mix until the Borax is dissolved.
Slowly add the Borax solution to your glue mixture.
Stir and knead with hands.

A very special thank you to Jasmine an amazing member of the Mumspo Mag community for sharing your recipes here.
