Crispy Italian Chicken Tenders
These Crispy Italian Chicken Tenders are super easy to make, only require 5 ingredients, and best of all, kids love them!
2 skinless chicken breasts
1 cup of panko crumbs
4 tablespoons of Pizza sauce (I highly recommend the Remano brand from Aldi)
1 tablespoon of Italian mixed herbs
1 tablespoon of grated parmesan cheese
1. Preheat oven to 200c fan forced.
2. Slice the chicken breast into 3cm wide tenders, pay dry with paper towel and coat with pizza sauce. (If you have the time and prefer, you can always marinate overnight in the fridge too).
3. To a separate bowl combine the panko, Italian herbs and parmesan, stir well and dip the chicken pressing firmly so it’s well coated in the crumb mix.
4. Place on a tray (lined with baking paper if you prefer) and bake for 20-25 minutes or until cooked through.
Serve with mash and steamed veggies, a garden salad or wraps, or enjoy as is for a party or lunchbox finger food idea.
I don’t think they need sauce but you can serve with tomato sauce, mayo or garlic aioli if you prefer.
