Christmas Eve Boxes – 40 Ideas
Christmas Eve boxes are a beautiful tradition to start with your family this festive season. Many families like to gift the box of goodies to their children on Christmas eve, however it has become increasingly popular to gift on the 1st of December so children can get more use out of their Christmas pyjamas and activities in the lead up to the big day.
If you aren’t familiar with this idea you fill a box with a variety of Christmas themed items from pyjamas to a dvd or whatever your heart desires. We like to include items the kids can wear, watch, make and eat etc which provides lots of fun and excitement. My favourite feature being these goodies keep my mischievous poppets entertained during the busiest time of year, allowing me to sticky tape my hands together trying to wrap gifts, and mumble profanities under my breath trying to remember where I hid the balance bike.
You can either opt for one box per child, or in my case I have 3 children so opt for one large box my children can share/fight over rather than creating three induvial boxes which would prove to be quite costly.
A special ornament for each child makes a lovely addition and this year Big W have a few licensed ones on offer.
Here at Mumspo Mag the team have compiled a list of 40 ideas on what to include in your Christmas Eve box. We also have also have a free printable reindeer food bag topper you can print here and add to a bag of oats for the kids to sprinkle on the lawn on Christmas eve.
