Ham & Cheese Pastry Puffs
These Ham & Cheese Pastry Puffs make for a great sandwich alternative in the lunchbox, and the best part is they only require 4 ingredients.
They freeze & defrost beautifully, just add them to a container with a sheet of baking paper between each layer to freeze and consume within 12 weeks.
2 sheets of store bought puff pastry
4 slices of ham
1 cup of grated tasty cheese
Dijon mustard (optional).
1. Preheat oven to 200c fan forced.
2. Cut each sheet of puff pastry into 6 large triangles and spread a thin layer of mustard to each triangle.
3. To the widest edge of each triangle add a small piece of ham, a sprinkling of grated cheese and roll to create a croissant liked shape.
4. Place on a baking paper lined tray and bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden.
Variation – My children also love these filled with cranberry sauce, turkey and camembert cheese and they are also brilliant for parties and get togethers.
